Another...

And card number 2! Unsurprisingly enough, we're back to boy's cards, lol.
It's a fairly simple one...

Colours slightly better on this one, but very faded for some reason (That's green card, not kraft...). *sigh*  I'll get the hang of this photography lark eventually, lol.
As you can see, it also sports one of my famous hand cut sort-of circles :-)

Card recipe:

Stamp - "Put your feet up" by LOTV
Medium: Promarkers
White and green card and buttons from stash
Sentiment - LOTV
Designer paper - Paper Cellar

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenge:

Card Crafter's Circle - For the boys

That's it from me for now. Happy crafting!

Today's first card...

Two more cards to share today, this first one a girlie one...

Her dress, flower and cupcakes are all sparkly!

Again, the colours haven't quite come out right... There's actually a lot of blue in the papers, but for some reason it's come out green! :-S

I really enjoyed making this one... Maybe I should consider getting more than one girlie stamp next time I visit LOTV! I now have a ton of boy ones, and a few Christmas, but only 3 girlie ones! (although I suppose one of the Christmas ones is a girlie one! lol)
I also want to get a few more pens soon, as I'm very limited as to the colours I can play with! I have hardly any pinks, for example, only really pale ones, so girlie cards are immediately tricky! lol.

Ok then... Card recipe:

Stamp - "Hello Cupcake" LOTV
Medium: Promarkers
White & red card
Ranger Stardust Stickles
Ranger Old Paper distress ink
Designer papers - Raspberry road "Love Lives Here"
Blooms and button from stash.
"Birthday treats" sentiment - Dovecraft "Cupcake Boutique"

That's it for this card... The second will be around soon :-)

Have a fabulous day!

Teehee!

First of all, I wanted to say thank you to everyone for all the lovely comments you've left on my cards! It really is very much appreciated!

And now I'd like to share a christmassy card... With a brand new James the bear stamp from LOTV :-)

James is such a very handsome bear, he's an absolute joy to play with! I'm a little sad I couldn't get the colouring to show up right though... It was taken outside in daylight (not too bright), but I'm thinking I probably need photography lessons some time soon, hehe...

The papers are Raspberry road. Other bits from my stash.

I'd like to enter this card into the LOTV ideas to inspire challenge -Make it festive

Aaaand... I'm off to play with some more LOTV, lol.

Have fun crafting!

Sammy-x

Woohoo!

I have some new LOTV to play with! Can't wait to get started :-)

In the meantime, Magnolia-licious' new challenge is "CAS"

No problem.

Doesn't get much more CAS than that! lol.

Aside from the adorable "Cupido" mini stamp, all I used was my coral Promarker to draw a border (I dunno why, but it seems to be my favourite pen at the moment... using it in practically everything!) and a sentiment stamp from the "From Paris with Love" set that came with a recent copy of Cardmaking & Papercraft.

Hope you're all having a great day! I'm off to play with LOTV some more! ;-)

And a girlie one...

I had rather a lot of fun with this one, actually... So simple, but so much fun!

The stamp, post card stamp and sentiment are all LOTV   The paper is a Spellbinders mixed media sheet. Ribbon and gem from my stash. I love how well the postcard came out stamping with vintage sepia ink onto kraft card!

That's it from me for now...  I'm off to go make some more cards. Some may have more than one colour even! lol.

Have a great day!

And number 2...

LOTV monochrome card #2.

Both papers on this card are from the Papermania "Wellington" set.  This was the first LOTV stamp I bought! Isn't he adorable?

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

More to come soon!

Ahem...

Back with some more LOTV... *Watches as people faint in shock*   I should hopefully have some new stamps to play with later this week, but in the meantime I've caught a bit of a monochrome bug, so had a plaay with the stamps I have at the moment. I'll be posting some of them, but in seperate posts, as they are challenge entries...

Anyways, card #1

The papers are from the Works and Papermania's "Wellington".

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenge:

Sketch N Stash - + Optional theme monochromatic

Back soon with card #2!

Thursday 22 August 2013

Ohhhh, I have a Magnolia stamp!

And I'm not afraid to use it! :-)

Yes, I had been looking on in envy as people all over blogland were making beeyoutiful cards featuring Magnolia stamps. The images are just lovely and really lend themselves to super pretty girlie cards (something I never thought I'd enjoy making originally, but here we are, lol).

And now, I have a Magnolia stamp of my very own!

The stamp I used is "Baseball Tilda" And I decided to make her team colour coral, which I then teamed up with some First Edition "Daydream" papers. I was originally going to go the whole hog with flowers and doilies and cheesecloth, etc. But I thought the sporty image didn't want anything too fussy, if you know what I mean. The colours haven't photographed as nicely as I'd have liked, but you get the idea...
The sentiment stamp is part of a teddy stamp set that came as a freebie with a mag I grabbed when I first started cardmaking (it was a father's day issue). Unfortunately I've lost the wrapper, so not sure who designed it! Please do let me know if you recognise it!
The brad in the corner is one I got around about the same time... I bought a set of them, and to date still hadn't used one!

In other news, have you all been following the LOTV bloghop today? If not, then what are you waiting for!? It was, frankly, a wonderful way to wake up, being greeted by so many fabulous cards with the sweetest stamps while enjoying my wake-up cup of tea! I can assure you that owning a Magnolia stamp has not in any way diminished my love for LOTV and all its adorableness! ;-)

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenge:

Shopping our Stash - Oldest hardware (brad)

Have a wonderful day everyone!

And now for something somewhat different...

I didn't think "completely different" fit, as it's at least still a card, lol.

This card was inspired by a couple of challenges, which will be listed below... For some reason I couldn't get away from shadows today, so forgive the darkness of the bottom left corner!

The image is from Papermania, and the paper Holly Hobbie. The poinsettia is from Wild Orchid Crafts. The tag I picked up yesterday at a craft shop in Leeds.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Allsorts challenge blog - Use your new stash (tag was bought yesterday)
Rhedd & Rosie -  Use red

Now it's off to play a game with the kidlets before dinner, methinks :-)
See you all later,
Sammy-x

Teddies!

I came across a card in a recent issue of Creative Stamping, which masked a teddy bear in order to put two of them on a card together. I was aware of the basic principle, but had never attempted masking before, so decided to give it a whirl.
I used one of my old favourite stamps. It's from Dovecraft, and is probably my most used stamp to date! It's just such an adorable bear!

I used the sample card for inspiration, but changed the colour of the card to brown, and tweaked the layout a little (it just called out for a sentiment, I thought and flowers, and bling!). All in all though, I'm really happy with my first attempt at masking. I may well play some more soon :-)

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenge:

Creative Inspirations - Monochrome

Have a fabulous day everyone!

Saturday 17 August 2013

Oh dear...

This is it... The last of my new LOTV stamps! And if I didn't have somewhere else I need to be today, I may well have been a little too tempted to head to the shop! lol.

Isn't he adorable? Papers are from Papermania (blue) and a pack I picked up at a craft fair with no name on!! I wrote the sentiment in word and printed it out.
Pretty simple really, but the image is so cute, it doesn't really need embellishing!

I'd like to enter this into the following challenge:

Oldie but a Goodie - boys/male cards (The papers are both about a year old)

Right, I'm off to the Royal Armouries with the kidlets to see a friend joust! Hope you all have an excellent day!

Friday 16 August 2013

Running the risk of being repetitive...

But I do believe I have yet another LOTV card here. At least it's a girl's one this time! :-)
(And I've only one new stamp left after this one... Might be time for another trip to the shop soon, teehee!)

I used the "skipping" stamp this time, and stamped her with sepia ink onto cream card. The card was a lot more porous than the white I usually use, so blending was pretty much impossible, but I really like the soft feel that it provided. Very vintage effect!
The flowers and lace are from The Ribbon Girl and the paper is MME. The glass gem in the corner is from LLC and is stuck on with Stardust stickles (which I also used on the flowers). The cheesecloth is also from LOTV. The charm came free with a magazine.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Have a great day one and all!

Thursday 15 August 2013

And another... You guessed it! ;-)

LOTV!

And yes, it's another boy's one, lol.

The papers are from the Portobello Road collection (Papermania), the charm came from a pound shop.
I was originally going to colour the background too, but I don't think I'm quite confident enough for that yet! Must go find some tutorials! lol.

Have a lovely day everyone,

Wednesday 14 August 2013

Good morning everyone!

Got back from Scotland last night, after feeling very deprived being away from my stash for 5 days!! I *did* however get to visit the paper mill in Aberdeen, where I got myself two boxes full of card and a paper pack.
My mum and aunt also donated lots of lovelies (ribbons, buttons, embellishments and plenty more), so at least I have lots of lovely new goodies to play with now I'm back!

One teensy problem though... I have nowhere to put any of this! So... Before I can allow myself to get crafting, I must sort out my crafting corner (probably a good idea anyway as I have friends staying over on Friday and they'll be sleeping in here!)

So, while I'm busy trying to find somewhere for all my pretties to live, I have a summery card to share.

The papers were a magazine freebie, I believe. The washi tape is Helz Cuppleditch "Riverbank Revels" and the sentiment is LOTV. Flowers from the Ribbon Girl and LOTV, gems from The Works and the sunglasses I found at a pound shop...

Hope you all have an excellent day!

Sammy-x

Thursday 8 August 2013

And another LOTV

Getting bored of LOTV yet? No, me neither! :-D

My new stamp #3. Another boy's one (4 out of the 6 I bought were boys! lol). I teamed him up with Docrafts "Ahoy There" papers and a charm I got at Live Love Crafts.

And the inside:

We're off to Scotland for a few days, so won't be posting, but I'm hoping to be able to check my dashboard from time to time. On the up-side... New craft shops to sniff out and visit! lol. (I can hear my husband grumbling already...)

New stamp #2

Time for new LOTV stamp #2...

After colouring the image, I decided to sponge it down with brushed corduroy distress ink to give it an old, vintage look... I did the same with the sentiment.
I like the colour, but not 100% sure about the application. Shall have to do some research on the matter

As stated, stamp is LOTV, and the papers are MME.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Papertake Weekly  -  Anything goes with an option of vintage

Monday 5 August 2013

First of my new LOTV stamps!

Sorry about the multiple posts in quick succession, but I couldn't resist showing off my first card with one of my new LOTV stamps!
As soon as I saw this stamp on the LOTV blog hop, I was in love! It's just all different kinds of adorable!

Isn't it the cutest stamp ever?
The papers are Raspberry Road and I got the Poinsettias from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Steampunk

I do love steampunk... I know a lot of people don't, but I adore it. Until now, most of the steampunk cards I've made have heavily featured browns and orange, so I'm going for a change with (denim) blue and coral.

The stamp is Kanban, as is the paper, and the charm was a freebie with a magazine. Unfortunately can't remember which, or who made it :-(    The flowers I picked up at LOTV and the blue blooms behind them are from the papermania capsule collection..

I'm finding this one a lot more girlie than is usual for my steampunk creations. Makes a nice change :-)

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

I love Promarkers - Steampunk or mechanical
Rhedd and Rosie's challenge blog - Time

Hope this Monday isn't treating you all too badly!

Sunday 4 August 2013

Woohoo!

My LOTV stamps arrived yesterday! *does happy dance*
I've already made a card with one of them, which I'll show tomorrow after I've had a chance to photograph it. Expect a few more LOTV over the next few days, lol.

In the meantime, I have this thank you card:

The stamp and sentiment are clear impressions, and the paper is Back to Basics.

Hope you're all enjoying your weekend!
