Sweet Stampin' DT - Black and white and one other colour

Good morning peoples!

How fabulous was the Sweet Stampin' birthday bash last week? We had sooooo many great entries!
Let's hope for some more of the same calibre this week! The theme is BLACK AND WHITE AND ONE OTHER COLOUR. And we are sponsored by My Mum's Craft shop

With a £10 voucer for the weekly winner

And the ribbon girl is still offering the monthly winner a £10 voucher too!

Now, As some of you will know, today is St. Andrews day. St. Andrew just so happens to be the patron saint of Scotland, which makes today a special day for all Scots. Even those that have somehow been relocated to Leeds and have gotten stuck there! lol.
So, for me the choice was simple, and I made this...

The background is the Scottish flag, also known as the St. Andrew's Cross, and the sentiment is Gaelic and means "Scotland the Brave".
Just a little bit of useless info for those of you that didn't know: The flag  people associate with the UK, the Union Jack, is actually an amalgamation of three different flags. The St Andrew's cross, England's St' George's cross (red cross on a white background) and Ireland's St Patrick's Cross (diagonal red cross - No, it's not green!). Put these three together and you have the Union Jack, the official flag  of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

So, there you have it. If you want to pop over to the Sweet Stampin' blog, you'll be able to see the rest of the Sweeties' makes. Most of whom have chosen red as their other colour. I'm just a rebel, I am. ;-)

Slainte!

Time for something non-Christmas!

Hi all,

I dunno about you guys, but I'm starting to get a little fed up of the festive stuff, so have decided to change it up a little!

Having recently had the opportunity to do a little shopping at Bunny Zoe's, I ordered myself this Kenny K stamp. (Funnily enough, I can't find it in the shop any more... Maybe I got one of the last ones?)
I went for this one as not only does it represent a complete break from this time of year, but as it turns out, I also have precious few stamps suitable for adult men. And then there's the fact that I have a fondness for the whole cowboy theme ;-)

The beeyouteeful papers are all the way from the Americas, and can be found in the Carta Bella "Giddy Up" pad. She was of course coloured with my Promarkers, and I added a button, ribbon and a twine "lasso". The sentiment is from a Lillibet sentiment stamp pack.

In other news, The Make-A-Wish Foundation sent me my fundraising package (with posters, badges and a collection tin), which arrived today, so I'm all set to go raise some money at my son's school fair a week tomorrow! I'll be trying to sell cards to raise money for them, so wish me luck!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp - Anything goes
Incy Wincy Designs - For the Men in your life
Kaboodle Doodles - Buttons and Twine
Cards for Men - Anything goes
Kenny K's Krafty Krew - Anything goes
Crafty Ribbons - anything goes with ribbon
Divas by design - Use some red
I <3 Promarkers - Anything goes

Hope you all have a fabulous day. And if you're going to be at the LOTV shop tomorrow... See you there! :-)

Crafting with Dragonflies DT - Christmas Ornament

Hi all,

Well, there may not have been many entries to the last challenge at Crafting with Dragonflies, but the ones we got were gorgeous!

Which brings me to this week's challenge, which is to make a Christmas Ornament. This can be a bauble of some sort, or some other item to hang on the tree or, like I've done, on the wall...

And, we're being sponsored by

Who are offering 7 Digis of winner's choice.

Now, we had a choice of images for this project, and for me there was no doubt... it had to be the "Merry Christmoose" image! And I actually have a reason for this, besides the fact that it's an especially funny image...

You see, I have a daughter. Said daughter is 13 years old, and has the hormones and moodiness to prove it. Now, we used to call her "beautiful", or "angel" or "princess", but as she hit the teen phase, she started getting really stroppy with me whenever I tried to call her "gorgeous". Trying to counteract this stroppiness, I started saying it funny, normally "gorjoose"... This then became "gorjoose moose", because it rhymed, and now... well, now her nick-name is simply "Moose". And she actually likes it! (she even changed her facebook name to include Moose! lol)
So, I have both a Baby Bear and a Moose (and hubby is a wookie... Points to whomever knows to what creature I am reffering here, lol) quite the menagerie! :-)

And without further ado, the hanger I made, which will be hanging on my "Moose's" bedroom door this festive period!

Forgive the fuzziness of the picture! Just pretend that you're looking at it after a couple of margaritas! ;-)

Some close-ups of the panels.

I had a little trouble deciding how to attach the panels to each other, and how to actually hang it, but luckily for me, Dawny P came to the rescue by posting a hanger she made literally while I was in the middle of this! So many thank-yous to Dawny for the inspiration!

And now it's your turn. We want to see your Christmas ornaments. If you'd like some more ideas, my fellow dragonflies have made some gorgeous ornaments for your perusal.

We're looking forward to seeing your creations!

Extra candy draw winner

Hi all, sorry I've not been around much. Been having loads of trouble with Blogger since Friday. Grrr...

So it may be a little delayed, but I did promise I'd have my son draw a bonus candy winner on his birthday, and this he did.

I wrote all the entries on pieces of paper and popped them in his hat, he then picked out number...

6! Pauline, that was you!  If you email me your address, I'll get you a little something posted out!

As for the birthday festivities, they involved a trip on the bus...

And after dinner at Sean's favourite Mexican place, a trip to the cinema to see Thor 2, which was awesome!

Home again after the film, with a very tired but happy baby bear.

But the fun wasn't over yet..!

Presents! And a piƱata! And of course there was cake (of the chocolate variety).

So all in all, a successful day. And we get to do it all again for the elder child in a couple of weeks!

I may or may not be back with a card later, if Blogger lets me. If Blogger doesn't, I have my Crafting with Dragonflies post scheduled for tonight, so there's definitely something on the way!

Be excellent to each other!

Sweet Stampin's birthday!

Hello all, hope you're ready to celebrate, because today we're passing 'round the virtual cake, as Sweet Stampin' is 4 years old!

Even though it's not my week, most of us on team Fi decided to join in with the festivities, and make a card for this week's challenge which, perhaps unsurprisingly, is  "Cause for Celebration"

And here is my card for the occasion:

I used another LOTV stamp "Big Present" and coloured him to match some loose nautical papers I found hidden in my stash. I then die-cut said papers into hexagons using a Joanna Sheen die (one hexagon at a time! *sigh*) before sticking them down and adding faux stitching to them all.

The sentiment is from a "Craft UK" football set I won recently.

I just adore this stamp... He is totally shaking the box to see if he can figure out what's in it! (which is exactly what my son was doing yesterday too, lol)

So, before you run off to make some gorgeous celebratory makes for our challenge, be sure to go visit the rest of the DT to see their fantastic projects!

Oh, and there's the prizes, of course! This week, there's a fabulous £10 up for grabs from Bunny Zoe's

And of course there's the monthly sponsor, which is the Ribbon Girl, who are also offering £10

And there are several other prizes up for grabs, including Wild Orchid Crafts, Crafter's Companion, and a whole heap of goodies! So Whatever you do, make sure you enter this one!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Natalie and Amy - For the boys
Love to scrap - Boyz rule
Brown Sugar - anything goes
Sister act - anything goes
Wags n whiskers - Cards for kids
4 crafty chicks - Anything goes
Crafty Ribbons - Stitching real or faux
Crafting by designs - Anything goes with a birthday twist
Crafting for all seasons - Stitching real or faux

Have a fabby day, and enjoy the cake! ;-)

Crafty hands DT - Sparkle and Bling

Good morning everyone, hope you're all well.

First of all, the birthday celebrations yesterday went fabulously, and I will be back later with a little more about that.

But for now, I am here with my CraftyHands DT post. There were loads of stunning entries for the last challenge, which was "vintage" and I'm hoping the current challenge will produce equally gorgeous results. We're looking for "Sparkle and Bling". Now I know you're all brilliant at that one!

Tonya at CraftyHands is providing the prize for this challenge, and look at the lovely goodies you can win!

Now, for my project I decided to try something a little different. So I started off with a blank coaster/beermat, and set out to make a wall decoration.

First of all I covered the coaster in pink and green iridescent paper, then added a LOTV mermaid image I'd coloured and fussy cut.

I then added a frame cut from rainbow miri board

And finally a cluster of flowers in the corner and a purple and green ribbon for hanging it with. Naturally, the mermaid's scales and wings needed the Stickles treatment too...

Due to the nature of this project (as in, the whole thing sparkles and glitters), it has proved impossible to photograph properly... It's actually very colourful, and not as dark as the pictures suggest.

Ok ladies and gents, now it's your turn! Go grab your glitter and dust off your gems and make us something that sparkles!

My fellow DT and I are looking forward to visiting you, so make sure you go see the beautiful makes they have prepared for you before you get stuck in.

May your day sparkle!

Candy winner!

Hi all,

Just stopping in quickly to announce my candy winner, before getting organised for my son's birthday celebrations!

I asked Mr. Random.org to help me, and he picked:

Sarah, that's you hun! Congrats! Email me your addy, and James will accompany some other goodies to you very soon! x

Wish I could send a James to everyone! However... as it's my little man's birthday today, I think he would get a kick out of letting someone else have a present too, so when he gets home, I will let him draw a number out of the hat (literally!), and whomever he picks will also receive a surprise something.

For everyone that didn't win, fear not... I'll be at the LOTV shop next week (just in time for the new release!) and will pick up another something to give away while I'm there.

Once again, thank you everyone for all the wonderful comments you leave and the beautiful works of art you share. Got to dash now, but I'll come visit you all at your bloggy homes soon!

Hugs,

Sammy-x

CANDY TIME!

Hi all,

As I have so many bloggy things to celebrate right now ( DT appointments, reaching 50 followers, etc) and I've had a streak of luck recently with winning things, I thought it high time I put some candy out there for all my lovely friends and followers to enjoy! It's a way of saying thank you to all of you wonderful people out there in blogland that have made these first few months so much fun for me! x

So, with that in mind, when I was at the LOTV shop on Saturday, I accidentally on purpose bought two of the James "Santa Stop Here" stamps. Because every crafter needs a little James in their life!

And a card I made with this image on it, so you can see it better!

I will add some other goodies too. Maybe ribbons and buttons and flowers (oh my!), a paper pad, etc. In the (unlikely?) event I get more than 50 entries, I shall ensure a prize for a second winner, also with a LOTV stamp!

So... If you feel like having a go, and would like James to come live with you, leave your name with Mr. linky.
This candy is for followers only, but new followers are also welcome to join in. I'd also love it if you'd pop the picture in your sidebar.

I'll happily post anywhere in the world.

This candy will run until the 21st of November midday GMT. After that, I shall let Random.org pick one of you to adopt dear James.

Milk Coffee DT post - Thankful

Hello all,

There were some fab entries during the last Milk Coffee challenge, and the DT all really enjoyed visiting all those lovely creations!

Our next challenge is THANKFUL, and revolves around the thanksgiving theme, or if you prefer, thank you cards.  As always, there is the chance to win some of the adorable Milk Coffee images.

It's actually one thing that I think is missing here in the UK... The whole idea of thanksgiving is rather great, and I for one would love to see something like that over here too. Sure, we can instigate our own tradition as a family, I suppose, but it's not quite the same thing!

Anyways, on to my DT card. I used the adorable Pilgrim Boy digi.

The spotty paper is from the Carta Bella "Giddy Up" pad. The stripy paper I have no idea. It was one of those purchases from an online shop, where I got a heap of random loose papers. Unless you are excessively organised (not me), you're doomed to forget what is what in that situation (me).
The bingo/calendar element was cut from a "Simple Stories" pad.

As always, I used my Promarkers to colour, and I also used a C.C. designs fence die and a Spellbinders foliage die.

Now off you go to make a "thankful" card of your own... However, if you feel you could use a little more inspiration, please do go visit the rest of the DT, because their creations are simply gorgeous!

In other news, this is my 100th post! *does little happy dance* Not bad considering I've only been blogging since the beginning of summer! :-)

I'll probably not be around much today, as it's my baby bear's birthday, but I'll be sure to stop in this evening for my candy draw!

Have a great day everyone,

Sammy-x

Gift set

Hi all,

You know those freebies that come with magazines? The ones that look lovely, so you buy the mag, only to have said freebie sit neglected at the bottom of a pile of stuff for an age or two?

This is not one of those.

And I'm not the only one who has been taken by the lovely Gingerbread Lane goodies by Jennifer Ellory that are currently on offer. So hard to resist the scrummy papers and lovely chipboard shapes! I've seen numerous cards out there in blogland already.  Let me add mine...

How tasty does that gingerbread house look? And the candy cane is so cute! I also made a gift box and a tag.

For the tag I used Kraft card and topped it with a gingerbread tree. (I so want a real one of those! lol), I also added Stardust Stickles to the edges for a touch more sparkle.

And there's still loads of shapes left over, so I think I may make another set. I have a stall at my son's school fair in a couple of weeks, and I'm hoping these may prove popular... I know I'd buy them! x

I'd like to enter these into the following challenges:

Glitter and Sparkle - Tag it
The Crafty Bloggers network - Christmas
Great impressions - Holiday card or tag
CHNC Challenge Extra - November
Crafty Calendar challenge - All things Christmas
C.R.A.F.T - Gift bag or box

Hope your day is a fabulous one!

Focus on the sentiment

Good evening my lovelies, another unscheduled stop here...  I was originally making a DT card, however, the current Sketch N Stash challenge caught my eye, and it just so happens to end 2 days before that particular DT post goes live, so I changed tack and made this instead.

When I was at the last LOTV open day, my daughter was exclaiming over their fabulous large sentiments, so I figured I'd get a set, as I'd been after some for a while anyway. And today I finally got 'round to using one! For this card I chose the Birthday one from the Fabulous Statements set.

I really, really LOVE the papers I used. Well, I say paper, it's actually closer to card, as it's super thick. They're also gorgeous and so very vintage, and I wish I had even the faintest idea where they're from! I remember ordering them online at some point about a year ago... They were loose sheets of 8x8 double-sided vintage designs and I honestly have no idea what they are. If anyone recognises them, please holler!

It's also an accomplishment in that hubby liked it enough to go out of his way to say it was nice and a great guy's card. Without being asked! (normally, getting an opinion from him is like pulling teeth, lol)

Aside from playing along with Sketch N Stash, I'd also like to enter the following challenges:

As you like it - What's your favourite, spots or stripes? (Stripes for me! I looooove stripy paper!)
Bunny Zoe - Shabby chic/vintage
Challenges 4 everybody - Anything Goes
Here come the boys - Sentiments only
That Craft Place - Sentiment
Totally gorjuss - 3 patterned papers

That's it from me for today. Sweet dreams everyone,

Sammy-x

A very special card...

Hi all,

I've figured out that probably about 95% of the cards I make, I make just for the fun of it. Only 5% are actually made with a specific person in mind. So naturally when a card is made for someone in particular, it becomes that much more special. Especially when that someone is my youngest, who is going to be 11 on Thursday! I honestly don't know where the years have gone!

So, a card for my son. One of those must contain 2 things. First one or more bears. When he was 4 years old, he had so much fun playing "goldilocks and the three bears" with us one day, that he insisted on being called "Baby Bear" ever since. It stuck. My baby bear has Aspergers. This means he can get pretty obsessive about things, and bears are an example of that. He started collecting teddies a few years ago, and has over 100 of them now! He is also, despite being almost 11, really big on cuddles. I personally think this is a great thing! lol.
The second thing the card must have is the colour blue. Preferably light blue. It is his favourite colour, and another thing he can get very obsessive about. (They learnt the hard way at school that it was probably best to let him be on the blue team on sports days! lol)

Anyways, The other day I won a digi over at Beccy's Place and I knew immediately which one it would have to be!

And there we go. A card for my baby bear. (Excuse the rubbish handwriting on my part, lol)  I hope he likes it!

Recipe:

Image - "Beary Loving" - Beccy's Place
Medium - Promarkers
Papers - "Bear necessities" - LOTV
Sentiment - Part of the "handwritten phrases" - LOTV
Dies: Sizzix Framelits "stars"
Washi Tape - Dovecraft "Cupcake Boutique"
White and kraft card and buttons from stash.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

613 Avenue - Anything goes - World peace day  (Can't get more "peaceful" than a lovely hug!)
Paper Creator - Birthday
Moving along with the times - Furry friends
Cards Galore - Animals

Hope you're all having an awesomesauce day!

Let it snow!

Hi all,

On my visit to the Harrogate fair last month, I came across the most gorgeous card at the Chloe's Creative Cards stall. It was made by stamping snowflakes onto acetate and heat embossing them after, before assembling them onto a card.
I was in love!  So naturally I immediately bought the snowflake stamps (and the poinsettia die, but that's something else entirely! lol.). And as with all things that MUST be done immediately, it's taken me about 6 weeks to get round to trying the technique, lol.

It was pretty tricky, and I wasted a whole heap of acetate and embossing powder trying to get it to work, but I got there in the end...

I stamped the snowflake twice and layered them. The embossing powder I used was WOW Sparkling Snow, and trust me... Sparkle it does! I stamped the word "Noel" in the corner and gave that the sparkly treatment too. The paper by the way was designed by Jennifer Ellory for a recent issue of Cardmaking and Papercraft.

Here's a close-up of the gorgeous centre of the snowflake. It's captured the sparkles a little too...

I shall be trying this technique again soon, hoping to perfect it. Because the effect really, really is worth the time and hassle it took to make it!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Creative corner challenges - Let it snow
The Sisterhood of crafters - Embossing

Have a fabulous day, one and all!

Sweet Stampin' DT post - Tags

Good morning all,

It's time for a new challenge at Sweet Stampin' and this week we're looking for TAGS. You can make a tag (or tags) or use one on a card, the choice is yours!

The sponsors are

for the monthly prize, and

who will be providing the prize for this week's challenge.

I made this set of tags using the Funny Owls image from The Stamp Fairy.

I decided to make 2 pairs, girlie and masculine, and paper-pieced them with suitably coloured papers.

The girlie papers are from "Great Expressions", a brilliant find in Poundland, and the boy's ones were magazine freebies.

I fussycut the owls and mounted them on white card with foam squares to give extra depth, and I coloured their beaks and the branches with Promarkers.

The tags were die-cut using Sizzix Framelits "Tickets" dies.

I then added an eyelet and length of ribbon to each to finish them off. Oh, and the eyes are covered in Glossy accents to make them shiny!

So, that was my take on the TAGS idea. So, what about you? I know you all want to go off and join in with this challenge, but before you do, go check out the lovely makes my fellow teamies have prepared for you!

I look forward to seeing your entries!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Crafty Ribbons - Anything goes with ribbon
Crafty Cardmakers - Paper piecing
Eclectic Ellapu - Anything but a card

In the spotlight.

Hello again my lovelies,

There's a new challenge up at Passion for Promarkers, and they want us to use the "Spotlight" technique. Now until I came across this challenge, I'd never even heard of that technique before, but I thought it looked brilliant and really wanted to have a go!
So I did.

I went with a slight twist, and made the spotlight area a sepia monochrome (my regular visitors will know I have a bit of a thing for that particular colour scheme...) and this is the result:

Oh look, lots of LOTV again... lol.

ETA: It's a little hard to make out, but the coloured part I had actually stamped out a second time and mounted the circle with foam tape. It adds extra dimension in real life, but doesn't really show in the photo.

Also, I think if I were to do this again, I'd stamp the image with brown ink rather than black...

Recipe:

Image - "A Christmas Carol" - LOTV
Medium - Promarkers
Paper - "Krafty Christmas" - LOTV
Sentiment - "Christmas Grungy Messages" - LOTV
Dies - Sizzix snowflakes

Other challenges I'd like to enter:

Addicted to stamps and more - Anything goes
Crafting by designs - Anything goes - Christmas
ABC Christmas challenge - W is for Winter wishes
4 Crafty Chicks - Snowflakes
Sassy Studio designs - Not your typical Christmas
Crafty Girls challenge - Anything goes

Hope you're all having a fantabulous day. I might be back with one more card before bedtime. Maybe. lol.

On a roll!

Hi all,

On a roll right now! Actually, I'm in the middle of 3 different cards right now (you know the whole "while that's drying I'll just work on this idea" thing...) but I just finished one that kinda just came together while browsing my blog feed this morning.

First, there was the day 14 challenge at Beccy's Place, which asked us to use buttons on a Christmas card. With that forming ideas in my head, I next visited my blog friend Lisa, who had just made a lovely Christmas card with faux washi tape. This reminded me of the large plastic envelope full of washi tape I have and have yet to use. Buttons and washi tape were starting to mingle...
And finally, I saw that the new challenge over at Papertake weekly was "snow and ice", which meant snowflakes/blue etc.

Take all those ideas, throw them in a pot and stir them for a couple of hours, and this is the result:

Something a little different from my usual. Lots of white space makes me nervous! Though I LOVE seeing other people's CAS cards, I can't seem to get on with white myself! So therefore couldn't resist adding a few "ice crystals" in the corners, lol.

The washi tape is Dovecraft "Cupcake Boutique", and the tree die recently came free with a magazine. The top layer of white card came pre-embossed with snowflakes.

Hope you're all having a fabulous day. I'll be back later with the other cards I'm working on!

Patchwork card

Hi all,

I'm totally behind again today! Sorry guys. I'll try to catch up later!

I spent a little time crafting today, and decided to make a patchwork Christmas card, inspired by one of the challenges over at Beccy's Place this month. For those who didn't know this yet, there's a new Christmas card challenge every day this month! Luckily, you don't need to post them up on the same day, because this one was inspired by the 11th day!

I punched a heap of squares from some LOTV paper, then arranged them and drew on faux stitching. The sentiment is a Kaisercraft stamp cut with an X-cut die. I also added a Spellbinders flourish, and layered a couple of Sizzix snowflakes, before mounting everything on kraft card, more faux stitching and some red pearls and finally attached it all to a white card base.

Et voilĆ ! I managed to make a Christmas card without a LOTV image! There's a first time for everything!  (Ok, so I still used LOTV paper. Certain habits are just too hard to break, lol)

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Beccy's Place - A month of Holiday cards - day 11
Ohh la la creations - stitching real or faux
Crafty bloggers network - Christmas
Crafting when we can - Neopolitan (red, white and brown)

Hope you're all having a fab day!

Crafting with dragonflies DT post - Stickpins - Things with wings.

Hello all,

Today is the start of a new challenge over at Crafting with Dragonflies. This fortnight we're looking for a card featuring Stickpins, with the theme "Things with wings".

Our sponsor is Crafts and Me, who are offering the lucky winner 3 digis of their choice.

Now, on to my card...

I got to use the "The new boots" digi to create my card, and I really, really loved this one!
Initially, I thought "ohhhh fairy!" and reached for the stickles. However, I managed to stop myself, as I decided she was a nature fairy, not a princess fairy, if you know what I mean, and therefore the Stickles weren't quite right.
I'm quite proud of my restraint! :-)

The pink and green heart stickpins I got in a wheel from Every Craft's a pound a while ago, and had yet to use any of them. I keep forgetting about them, so this was a really useful challenge for me! lol.
The sentiment is from Little Darlings, and the leafy die-cut was created with a spellbinders "foliage" die. The pink swirl was a gift from a lovely blog friend.
The paper at the back is Prima, but unfortunately I'm a little fuzzy on the others... Magazine freebies is all I can tell you! The flowers are WOC.

Your turn! Make us a card featuring stickpins! You can buy them, or make them yourself (the best ones always are!). My fellow Dragonflies and I are looking forward to flying over to your blogs to see your creations!

Don't forget to take a peek at the rest of the DTs blogs to see their creations. They're all soooo lovely! And their cards are great too! lol.

Have a great day people!

Sammy-x

Pink and white

Howdy everyone!

The theme this month over at LOTV is Pink and White, and I've finally finished a card for the challenge. It's taken me almost 2 weeks, but I got there in the end, lol.

I used one of the new stamps. Isn't she a cutie?

Please forgive the yellow-ish tint to the photo... I think my bulb is on the way out. will have to replace it!

I decided to keep the bears white, with just a hint of pink here and there. You see, I used to have a furry friend (a bunny, rather than a bear...), that looked white, but if his fur was parted, it was pink underneath. I always thought it was a great effect, and tried to replicate it here with the teddies.

I also had to replace the handles of the drawers with pearls. I had no choice in this, lol.

Now they need to bring out this stamp with a boy instead of a girl, and it'll be perfect for my son. He has over 100 bears! And he'll be getting more on the 21st, which is his 11th birthday.
He has Aspergers, and bears are one of the things he obsesses over...

Recipe:

Image - "My favourite friends" - LOTV
Medium - Promarkers
Papers - Emma's Garden - Jennifer Ellory
Sentiment - Handwritten phrases - LOTV
Spotty ribbon bow - Riverbank Revels - Helz Cuppleditch
Heart frame die - Cheery Lynn designs
Butterfly die-cuts very kindly given to me by a lovely blog friend.
Tattered rose distress ink, glass candi and pearls.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

LOTV Ideas to inspire - Pink and White
Sister Act card challenge - Anything goes
Chocolate, coffee and cards - Monochromatic
Shopping our stash - Something already out on your desk (ok, technically that's everything, since almost all my craft supplies live on my desk (no craft room, just a desk and a little piece of floor!), however, going by the spirit of the challenge, rather than the letter, the "out on my desk" would be the butterfly die-cuts, which have been sitting close at hand waiting for the perfect card to put them on...)

That's it from me for now. Don't forget to enter my candy if you haven't yet, and I'll see you tonight (scheduled, as I'll be sleeping!) with my Crafting with Dragonflies DT post.

Hugs.

Operation Tidy craft space...

Hi all,

Don't forget to enter my candy here

I've not been around much these past couple of days, as I've been busy trying to organise my desk (and floor! lol) in order to be able to make cards with less hassle trying to find stuff! I'm not getting anywhere fast, but hey... Had loads of fun organising all my ribbons today :-)

Anyways, I have a card.

I'm thinking it's all fairly self-explanatory... The pearls (originally white from Hobby House) were coloured with a Promarker to match, and the wings, centres of all the flowers and the butterflies on the sentiment are all covered in Stardust Stickles. It's actually super sparkly! Shame the photo hasn't picked it up :-(
The edges of the paper and card have been inked with Walnut Stain distress ink.
